This activity is about resilience and emotions. If you are feeling overwhelmed, these world-changing binoculars can remind you how to see the world in a different way.

If you are ever having a hard time working through your emotions, take a peek through these binoculars to see how different things look from a different perspective and remember there is always another way.

You will need:
  • 2x cardboard toilet roll tubes
  • Coloured cellophane (or any coloured translucent material)
  • Tape
  • Scissors
Steps:
  1. Cut out the cellophane to cover one end of each toilet roll tube.
  2. Tape the cellophane to the end of each toilet roll tube.
  3. Next, tape the two toilet roll tubes together to look like a pair of binoculars.
  4. As an extra: you could tape some ribbon/string to your binoculars, so you can wear them around your neck.
  5. Use your binoculars whenever you need to see things from a different perspective.

Your binoculars can remind you how to look at things in a new way.
