This activity is about being aware and calming your mind. Using Teddy’s No-Trouble Bubbles, you can direct your attention to your breathing and being in the moment – helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

Teddy loves how this activity focuses on breathing and our feelings – as well as making some beautiful bubbles!

You will need:
  • A bottle of bubbles (or see below for how to make your own)
Steps:
  1. Open your bubbles and take out the bubble wand. Get ready to blow your bubbles.
  2. Focus for a moment on any worries you may be feeling.
  3. Take a deep breath in.
  4. Breathe out slowly and blow the bubbles away. Focus on your breathing looking at all the bubbles you’re creating! Repeat as many times as you’d like to.
  5. Imagine that you’ve blown all of your worries into those little bubbles. Now, you can simply watch them float away or even pop them if you’d like!

You can keep your bubbles for whenever you want to feel calm.

Bonus activity: DIY bubbles

You will need:
  • 50ml washing-up liquid (one part)
  • 300ml water (six parts)
Steps:
  1. Measure the washing-up liquid into a container.
  2. Slowly add in the water.
  3. Give a gentle stir being careful not to make too many bubbles at this time.
  4. Let the bubble mixture rest for a little while before using – it makes your bubbles better!

You can also use household items – such as paperclips, straws, pipe cleaners or bottles with the bottoms cut off – to make a bubble wand.
